Founded in 2016 with the primary aim “of taking films closer to the people and of using film as a weapon to create awareness of Indian heritage," '''Chalachitram National Film Festival''' (CNFF) is presently organised by the Vishwa Samvad Kendra. Since 2017, it has taken place at the Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio, in Guwahati, Assam, India. The festival is now in its tenth edition.
