The event, which is now in its 26th year, is organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

For the first 24 years (With the exception of the year in which the pandemic was at its height), this was a 3-day event that included conference sessions, keynote addresses, masterclasses and workshops, policy roundtables, B2B meetings, exhibitions, cultural evenings, networking events, and the BAF Awards. In its silver jubilee year, in 2025, the BAF Awards ceremony took place early in the year and the rest of the proceedings were reduced to a 2-day event in end-October.
