Ashok Veilou is an award-winning indigenous filmmaker from Manipur, India, who did his PG in screenplay and direction at the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI). Additionally, he has acted in, written, and directed TV serials. He was a part of the Indian delegate at the 76th Cannes Film Festival and walked the red carpet for the screening of the Manipuri feature film 'Ishanou/'
He's the recipient of the Young Tribal Achiever Award conferred by the Govt. of Manipur in 2022 in recognition of outstanding achievement in the field of film, and the Fransalian Youth Mission Award of Excellence in 2019 for been the inspiration in the lives of the youth.
