Resul Pookutty

Resul Pookutty is an Oscar and MPSE winning sound designer from India; a member of the Oscar committee, the Motion Picture Sound Editors Guild (MPSE), and the Cinema Audio Society (CAS); and the chairperson and festival director of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).

Conferred the Padma Shri (the fourth highest civilian award) by the Govt. of IndiaC
Conferred an honorary doctorate by Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit
Awarded the title Distinguished Engineer by Rocheston, New York.
Winner of the Academy Award for Best Sound Mixing, along with Richard Pryke and Ian Tapp, for Slumdog Millionaire.
Recipient along with Amrit Pritam of an MPSE Award and two Producers Guild of India Apsara Awards
