National Film Awards

Established in 1954, the National Film Awards is the official awards of the Govt. of India for artistic and technical merit in the cinema of India. The awards were traditionally handed out to the recipients by the president of India. There are three categories, namely, feature films, non-feature films, and best writing on cinema.
