George Malayil

George Malayil is a bird photographer with a deep interest in ornithology. He also authors books, produces pencil sketches, and plays the guitar as a hobby. Professionally, he is an IT person. He is closely related to filmmaker Sibi Malayali.
Music
George started out in his formative years as a bass guitarist, and has a preference for fingerpicking and rhythm work. In his teens, he had his own band 'Dies Irae', formed along with Baines Isaacs on lead guitar, Beverly on rhythm guitar/vocals, and Dinesh Shenoy on drums, and performed at Vasco Da Gama Square in Fort Cochin, India, as part of the annual Cochin Carnival celebrations. In his early twenties, he also performed as a vocalist with another band, <NAME OF BAND> for a show in Mississauga, Canada.
Writing
George is the author of The Near Wild, Volumes 1 and 2, and a few coloring and puzzle books. He self-publishes his books under the name 'Showda Ten.'
Photography
George's photography has received recognition through awards <NAME OF AWARDS> from the Detroit Camera Council during a period of active participation in club competitions. He publishes his photography under the name Luce E Lente, and is currently developing ThemisPhoto, a platform for peer-juried photography contests.
