Diwakar Balakrishnan

Diwakar Balakrishnan is a National Film Awards winning cinematographer, retired Professor in Cinematography at Jamia Millia Islamia, and author of a book on images of violence in cinema. He passed out from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in 1977 and did his PhD in Cinema at the Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace & Conflict Studies, and has been a member of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) technical committee since 2006.
