Dipsikha Bhagawati is the winner of an Assam State Film Award for Best Film Critic who writes extensively on film and literature for a variety of journals, newspapers, and magazines, and a Govt. of Assam & British Council teacher holding a PhD on TS Eliot. She is the granddaughter of Uday Chandra Bhagawati, a doyen and one of the pioneers of the erstwhile NE traveling drama troupes.
