Kiran Shantaram is the the trustee of the V Shantaram Trust that owns Plaza cinema, the chairman of the V Shantaram Foundation, the Asian Film Foundation, the Prabhat Chitra Mandal, the Mercedes Benz Club of India, and the Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI), and a former Sheriff of Mumbai. He is the son of filmmaker V Shantaram, and the co-author along with Sanjit Narwekar of the book V Shantaram: The Legacy of the Royal Lotus.
